I’ve decided to share my SALES LETTER TEMPLATE with other marketers who are just getting started. Having a good clean template to work from lets you focus on the most important elements – the sales copy, the images, and the ORDER BUTTON. The basic sales letter is an essential document for online business. By creating templates that can be used over and over again, I can quickly create new documents and web pages that have a consistent style and quality without having to hire a designer and coder every time or slave for hours building something from scratch. You need a separate salespage for every product you promote – but after creating a product, writing the sales copy, and setting up shopping carts, who wants to sit in front of a web design program and try remembering all the style sheet commands and HTML codes you need to produce a decent page? A really nice looking page requires you create graphics too.Ĭreate Templates for Everything You Create Repetitively…Īs my business has grown, I’ve looked for every opportunity to conserve effort and improve my overall results. Creating sales pages is one of those tasks. So much of the work of involved in selling products online is tedious and repetitive. If you want to make a site with short "pages" and pretty graphics, Xara may well work fine for you. Fourthly, when I tried to republish an imported html article, it gave an "out of memory message" and didn't spit out half the file. Thirdly, trying to import files with tables gives unpredictable or missing results. As with many of these CSS-type positioning programs, long CSS text boxes seem to be minced when browsers decode them. Secondly, it works with a page metaphor, "pages" really being text boxes, and their length is limited, both within the program, and more critically with what happens when you export to a website. Firstly, the import loses all links, unless you bring in RTF. It has many import options, and I need to do a makeover of a big, text-intensive site. As a note, I've used far worse, so Xara may be a good choice for others, and if the needs are modest, this seems good. As I said, I'm looking for a replacement of Xara now. I think this is good to start and good for small sites.įor a true bare bones beginner, try Kompozer or other older free product to learn. Being able to export to other editors in the future is a key issue here, and with other programs too. It seems many web page creation programs are like that, so take care with them all. I'm having problems exporting this to any other program, thus my main gripe now is that once you use it, you are welded and stuck with it. I had to do some tweaks, and a few tables and such would not import, but over ok there. I've had good luck with copy and paste of "very standard HTML" from my old sites into Xara program. I'm not doing anything complex and only use a fraction of Xara's features, yet, I am looking for something else. This isn't bad, but it gets clumsy as the site grows, and as an occasional user, it can be awkward. I've used a number of Xara products in their web site creation products. Xara Web Designer sites are W3C compliant, cross browser compatible and XHTML, CSS standards based. Other features include a tool to create Flash animations, text effects, dynamic layout adjustments, document import and more. The finished site can be saved, exported to HTML or image formats and uploaded to your FTP server with the integrated upload tool. You can use intuitive tools to apply drop shadow and transparency effects, insert shapes, photos, graphics, color fills, flash animations and more. The program offers a variety of templates that can be used as inspiration for your custom design and are easily customized. It offers a WYSIWYG interface that allows you to drag and drop elements into position and type your text directly into the page. Xara Web Designer 365 is an easy to use, template based web page creation tool that enables you to create professional looking websites without the need for any HTML or Javascript skills.
